Planet Communication Asia Public Company Limited (“PLANET”) continues to advance its sustainable growth strategy by announcing the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) for a strategic partnership with NV Gotion Company Limited (“NV Gotion”), a global leader in advanced battery technology. The collaboration aims to jointly drive the development of electric vehicle (EV) solutions and battery energy storage systems (BESS), with the objective of becoming a leader in clean energy innovation in Thailand and the ASEAN region, while reinforcing PLANET’s New S-Curve growth potential.
Mr. Prapat Rattlerkarn, Chief Executive Officer of Planet Communication Asia Public Company Limited (PLANET), stated that this collaboration represents a powerful synergy between PLANET’s expertise in digital technology solutions—supported by a diverse customer base across both public and private sectors in Thailand—and NV Gotion, a joint venture between Nuovo Plus (a subsidiary of PTT Group) and Gotion High-Tech, one of the world’s foremost battery technology leaders.
The partnership aims to jointly conduct research and development, as well as the commercialization of internationally certified battery packs for electric vehicles, along with battery energy storage systems (BESS) that meet global standards.
Under the MOU, NV Gotion will serve as the principal technology partner, providing manufacturing technology and in-depth technical expertise, particularly in lithium iron phosphate (LFP) and nickel cobalt manganese (NCM) battery technologies. PLANET, meanwhile, will play a key role in marketing management, brand development, and the establishment of comprehensive distribution channels, enabling the delivery of products and services to corporate and government customers seeking to transition toward clean energy solutions in a holistic manner.
“NV Gotion not only manufactures and assembles high-quality lithium battery systems that comprehensively meet the demands of modern industries—covering both EV battery packs and battery energy storage systems (BESS) to enhance energy security—but also possesses strong capabilities in producing backup power battery solutions for critical infrastructure such as data centers. In addition, the company is expanding into advanced EV charging solutions, supported by internationally certified production facilities and globally recognized technology,” Mr. Prapat added.
Mr. Prapat further emphasized that partnering with NV Gotion—an organization equipped with world-class technology and operating as part of the PTT Group ecosystem—marks a significant milestone that will positively transform PLANET’s business structure. The collaboration is expected not only to unlock new revenue streams from emerging business segments (New S-Curve), but also to enhance investor confidence in PLANET’s long-term competitiveness through the delivery of high-standard energy innovations.
On the partner side, Mr. Sun XiYi, Chief Executive Officer of NV Gotion Company Limited, stated that with NV Gotion’s advanced battery manufacturing facility located in Rayong Province within Thailand’s Eastern Economic Corridor (EEC), the company is well-positioned to support the rapid rollout of high-performance battery products and energy storage systems into the Thai market.
